Safety Procedures
Life Jackets
Fishichillin’ is equipped with all USCG floatation devices for guests and we encourage guests to wear them. Federal law requires children under 13 to wear a USCG-approved life jacket while underway.
Weather Calls
Weather can always impact your plans, especially when you're on the water. If you have any concerns about the forecast, please contact Danny at 787-996-4524 by voice or text before your trip. If you arrive and the weather isn't favorable for offshore fishing, one of the benefits of FishiChillin' is the flexibility to save your boat day when conditions change! You're welcome to alter your reservation from fishing to snorkeling and discuss the options with your captain at pickup. Our top priority is making sure you're fishing or boating experience is safe, fun, and memorable; and we'll work with you to make the best decision based on the conditions that day.
Kids on Board
Kids and young adults are always welcome aboard FishiChillin'! There's nothing better than seeing a child's excitement when they catch their first fish or experience the magic of snorkeling alongside sea turtles.
For everyone's safety, all guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. An adult must also sign the company waiver on their behalf before the trip.
Captain Authority
Your captain is responsible for the safety of all passengers, crew, and the vessel. The captain has the sole authority to make decisions regarding weather, sea conditions, routing, fishing locations, snorkeling, swimming, and all vessel operations. If the captain determines that conditions are unsafe or that a guest's behavior poses a safety risk, they may modify or end the trip without further notice. All guests are expected to follow the captain's instructions at all times. Failure to do so may result in the charter being terminated without refund.
Alcohol Rules
Relax, enjoy the ride, and sip responsibly. Guests are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages, but we ask that everyone drinks responsibly so we can keep the day safe, comfortable, and fun for the whole crew. Also remember, no glass bottles on the boat.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
We keep our terms simple for your peace of mind. Safety and transparency are our top priorities for every guest.
- Weather Cancellations: If the Captain determines the weather isn't safe for your charter, you'll receive a full refund or trip credit. Whenever possible, we'll do our best to reschedule your trip before your vacation ends.
- Guest Cancellations: To receive a full refund, cancellations or changes must be be made at least 48 hours before your scheduled trip.
- Late Notice: Cancellations made within 48 hours of your charter are non-refundable, and the deposit will be forfeited.
Bookings
To secure your spot on the water, we require an initial booking fee. This deposit ensures your preferred date is reserved exclusively for your party. These funds are applied directly to your total charter balance and are subject to our cancellation policy to ensure a smooth schedule for everyone.
Total Costs
We process a 20% down payment through our secure online system to confirm your reservation. The remaining balance for your adventure is due at the dock on the day of your trip before we depart on our journey.
Tips & Gratuity: Gratuities for our captain and crew are entirely optional but highly appreciated for excellent service. Tips can be provided in cash or added to your final payment; a standard range is 15–20% of your trip total.
Accepted Methods
We accept major credit cards such as Visa and American Express, cash, as well as Venmo, PayPal & Zelle. Please note that USVI port fees and local taxes are additional costs.
